1/2 | lb | Dried ginger (pounded green |
Ginger) | ||
1 | ga | Water |
1/2 | Lime | |
Few cloves | ||
3 | lb | Sugar |
1/4 | pt | Rice (white) |
1. Put all ingredients into a clean jar. 2. Stir until sugar is dissolved. 3. Cover jar and leave for two days. 4. On third day strain through a thin muslin, and bottle. 5. Serve with cracked ice. N.B. If only a mild flavour is required, lessen the amount of ginger.
