Title: Holiday Liqueur

Yield: 3 Cups

4cSugar
2cWater
2cCranberries, coarsely choppe
2 Granny Smith apples, peeled
  ;and chopped
1cUnflavored brandy
1cVodka
1tsVanilla
6 Whole cloves
1 Cinnamon stick

Make a simple syrup of the sugar and water. Boil 3 to 4 minutes to dissolve sugar. Take 1 cup of the syrup and put into a half gallon jar. Add the cranberries, apples, brandy, vodka, vanilla, cloves, and cinnamon stick. Cap jar tightly and steep 3 weeks. Strain through a coffee filter into a bottle. Cork the bottle. Store in a dark, cool place for 3 more weeks.

Makes about 3 cups per batch.
