Title: Mulled Spiced Wine (Renee Darling)

1 | | Bottle red wine (cabernet |
| | Or burgundy |
1 | | Bottle port wine |
1 | c | Brandy or Cognac |
| | Orange, thinly sliced |
1/2 | c | Yellow raisins |
10 | x | Dried apricots, chopped |
1/2 | c | Water |
3 | tb | Sugar, or to taste |
2 | ts | Whole cloves |
2 | x | Sticks cinnamon |
Combine all the ingredients in an enamel pan. Simmer mixture for 10
minutes. DO NOT ALLOW TO BOIL!! Ladle into glasses, with a few apricots and
raisins in each. Terrific on a cool autumn or winter's night while sitting
in front of the fireplace with your honey or a round of good friends. In
Germany we call it Gluhwein.... but it's not quite the same.
