Title: 7 Minute Frosting with Honey
Categories: Dessert Frosting Toppings
Yield: 1 Batch
2 | Egg whites | |
1/2 | c | Honey |
1 1/4 | ts | Vanilla |
1/4 | Teasppon salt | |
1/8 | ts | Cream of tartar |
Prepare a double boiler per manual instructions. Place the honey and vanilla in the top of the double boiler. In a seperate bowl mix the salt and cream of tartar. Add the powdered ingredients in with the honey stirring as you blend. Add the egg whites one at a time stirring after each. Beat the mixture with an electric mixer at high speed for 7 minutes or until icing stands alone in peaks.
(PERSONAL NOTE) I have found that the time for cooking varies according to the tempature of the house and the humidity in the air. Honey burns easily so stir your frosting constantly you can not leave this unattended for any amount of time. From: Merry Powell Date: 01-29-97 (19:41) Occ Bbs (95) Recipes
