Title: Almond-Oatmeal Cookies

1/2 | c | Granulated sugar |
1/2 | c | Packed brown sugar |
1/2 | c | Margarine or butter, softene |
1/2 | ts | Vanilla |
1 | Egg | |
1 1/2 | c | Quick-cooking oats |
1/2 | c | All-purpose flour* |
1/2 | c | Ground toasted almonds |
1/2 | ts | Baking soda |
1/4 | ts | Baking powder |
1/8 | ts | Salt |
1/2 | c | Sliced almonds |
* if using self-rising flour Baking soda, baking powder, And salt.
Heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix sugars, margarine, vanilla and egg. Stir in oats, flour, ground almonds, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Stir in sliced almonds. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake about 10 minutes or until light brown. Cool 2 minutes; remove from cookie sheet. ABOUT 3 DOZEN COOKIES; 80 CALORIES PER COOKIE.
