1 | c | Sugar |
1 | c | Margarine or butter, softene |
1/4 | c | Apple butter |
1 | Egg | |
2 1/2 | c | All-purpose flour* |
1 | c | Finely shredded cheddar Cheese (4 ounces) |
1/2 | ts | Baking soda |
1/2 | ts | Apple pie spice |
*if using self-rising flour Baking soda.
Apple Butter Refrigerator Cookies. Mix sugar, margarine, apple butter and egg. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours.Divide dough in half. Shape each half into roll, about 1-1/2 inches in diameter and about 8 inches long. Wrap and refrigerate at least 4 hours.Heat oven to 400 degrees. Cut rolls into 1/8-inch slices. Place about 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 7 to 9 minutes or until edges are light brown; cool. ABOUT 6 DOZEN COOKIES; 55 CALORIES PER COOKIE.
