Title: Applesauce Pudding

3 | c | Applesauce |
2 | c | Sugar |
1 | c | Butter, melted |
7 | Eggs, separated | |
1 | Nine inch piecrust, baked |
Shirly Shaker Village
Combine applesauce, sugar and butter. Beat the yolks of 7 eggs and the whites of 3 together and fold into applesauce mixture. Cook over medium heat until it thickens. Pour into pie shell. Beat whites of 4 eggs until stiff. Spread over filling. Bake at 375F for 12 minutes until meringue is set and golden. Serves 6-8.
(Note: This recipe probably assumes homemade applesauce. If using commercialy made applesauce, adjust sugar to taste. Manny)
