Title: Applesauce-Oatmeal Cookies

1 3/4 | c | All-purpose flour |
1/2 | ts | Baking soda |
1/2 | ts | Baking powder |
1/2 | ts | Salt |
1 | ts | Cinnamon |
1/2 | ts | Cloves |
1/2 | ts | Nutmeg |
3/4 | c | Raisins |
1 | c | Quick oatmeal |
1/2 | c | Butter |
1 | c | Sugar |
1 | Egg | |
1 | c | Unsweetened applesauce |
1/2 | c | Walnuts; chopped |

the novel to find out what that means - and I'm not about to give the plot
away to anyone Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Sift flour with baking soda, baking powder,
salt and spices. Stir in raisins and oatmeal.
In a separate bowl, cream together butter and sugar; add egg and beat until
fluffy. Add dry ingredients alternately with applesauce to the creamed
mixture. Stir in nuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake
at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
Makes about 3 1/2 dozen cookies.
