Title: Banana Kuchen

1/4 | c | Shortening |
3/4 | c | Sugar |
1 | Egg | |
1 | lg | Banana -- sliced |
1/4 | c | Milk |
1 1/2 | c | Flour -- sifted |
2 | ts | Baking powder |
1/2 | ts | Salt |
Cream together shortening and sugar. Add milk, banana, and egg; beat until smooth. Add the sifted dry ingredients and blend just to mix. Spread in 7 x 11 inch pan. Sprinkle with one of the following toppings:
SPICY NUT: 1/3 c. brown sugar 1/3 c. nuts, chopped 1/2 tsp. cinnamon. Mix together and sprinkle on kuchen and bake.
CRUNCHY: 1/4 c. brown sugar 1/4 c. flour 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 2 tbsp. soft oleo Mix together with fork until crumb like. Sprinkle on kuchen and bake. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.
