Title: Brown Sugar Chess Pie - Sl 9/86

Yield: 1 8" pie
1/2 | c | Sugar |
1/2 | c | Brown sugar; firmly packed |
1 | tb | All-purpose flour |
1 | tb | Cornmeal |
1 | pn | Salt |
3 | Eggs | |
1 | ts | Vinegar |
1/2 | ts | Vanilla extract |
1/4 | c | Milk |
1/4 | c | Butter or margarine; melted |
1 | Unbaked 8-inch pastry shell |
Combine sugar, flour, cornmeal, and salt in a small bowl; mix well. Combine eggs, vinegar, and vanilla in a medium bowl; beat mixture at medium speed of an electric mixer until thoroughly blended. Add dry ingredients, milk, and butter; beat at medium speed of an electric mixer until mixture is smooth. Pour into unbaked pastry shell. : Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until set. Cool on a wire rack. Yield: 1 x 8-inch pie.
