4		Eggs
1/2	lb	Sugar
1/2	lb	Flour, self-raising
1/2	c	Milk
		Vanilla essence
		Crystalised cherries

Beat eggs and sugar together till frothy and stiff, melt the butter, and when slightly warm add to the eggs and sugar, then add milk, essence and sufficient number of cherries cut in rings, and lastly the sifted flour.
