1 1/2 | c | Semi-sweet chocolate chips; divided |
1/2 | Stick butter | |
1/4 | c | Sugar |
1 | Egg | |
1 1/2 | ts | Vanilla extract |
1/2 | c | Flour |
1/2 | ts | Salt |
1/4 | ts | Baking powder |
1/2 | c | Pecans or macadamia nuts; chopped |
Preheat oven to 350~F. Melt 1 cup chocolate chips in small saucepan over low heat, or in microwave oven 2 to 3 minutes at low power; cool. In medium bowl of electric mixer, cream butter and sugar; add egg and vanilla; beat well; blend in chocolate. In separate bowl, stir together flour, salt and baking powder; add to creamed mixture, mixing well. Stir in nuts and remaining chocolate chips. Drop dough from teaspoon onto lightly greased cookie sheet, spacing 2 inches apart. Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
Preparation Time: 25 minutes. Cooking Time: 8 to 10 minutes.
