Title: Chocolate Chess Pie - Sl 9/86

1 1/2 | c | Sugar |
3 1/2 | tb | Cocoa |
1 | pn | Salt |
1 | tb | All-purpose flour |
1 | tb | Cornmeal |
1/2 | c | Pecans; chopped |
3 | Eggs; beaten | |
1/2 | c | Milk |
1 | tb | Vanilla extract |
1 | Unbaked 9-inch pastry shell | |
Powdered sugar (optional) |
: Combine first six ingredients in a medium bowl; mix well. Combine eggs, milk, and vanilla; stir into dry ingredients, mixing well. Pour into pastry shell; bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes or until pie is set. Cool on a wire rack. Lightly sift powdered sugar over pie, if desired. Yield: 1 x 9-inch high.
