Title: Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Yield: 36 Cookies
1 1/4 | c | Unsalted butter; room temp |
3/4 | c | Dark brown sugar; firmly packed |
3/4 | c | Golden brown sugar; firmly packed |
3 | lg | Eggs |
1 1/2 | ts | Vanilla |
2 | c | Plus 6 tbsp flour |
1 | ts | Baking soda |
1/2 | ts | Salt |
12 | oz | Semisweet chocolate; cut into chunks |
2 | c | Pecans; chopped (8-oz.) |
Preheat oven to 325~. Using electric mixer, beat butter and both brown sugars in lg. bowl until creamy. Add eggs 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Sift flour, baking soda, and salt into med. bowl. Add to butter mixture and stir just until combined. Mix in chocolate and pecans.
Drop cookie dough by rounded tbspfuls onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing evenly. Flatten slightly with back of spoon. Bake until golden brown, about 15 mins. Cool slightly on baking sheets. Transfer cookies to racks and cool completely. (Can be prepared 1 day ahead. Store at room temp in airtight container).
