1 1/2 | c | Flour |
2 | ts | Baking powder |
2 | c | Cranberries, fresh, halved |
1/2 | c | Molasses |
1/3 | c | Hot milk |
1/2 | c | Chopped nuts |
Sift flour with baking soda. Stir in cranberries. Combine molasses with
milk. Stir into cranberry mixture until well blended. Stir in nuts. Pour
into 6 cup buttered mold. Cover with aluminum foil, buttered, press
tightly. Place mold on a rack in pan with tight fitting cover. Pour about
1/2 inch of water into the pan. Bring water to a boil and cover, reduce
heat to simmer and steam for 2 hours. Cool for 10 minutes, unmold. Serve
with vanilla sauce.
