Title: Diabetic Brownies

Yield: 16 Brownies
1/2 | ts | Baking powder |
1/2 | ts | Salt |
3 | oz | Unsweetened chocolate; melted |
1/2 | c | Soft shortening |
2 | Eggs; beaten | |
2 | tb | Granulated sugar replacement |
1 1/2 | c | Flour |
1 | ts | Vanilla extract |
Combine all ingredients and beat vigorously until well blended. Spread mixture into greased 8- by 8-inch pan. Bake 30-35 minutes at 350F.
Microwave: Cook on Medium (50 percent power) 8-10 minutes, or until puffed and dry on top. Cut into 2-inch squares.
Makes 16 brownies. Per brownie: 136 calories 1 1/2 bread exchange, 1 1/2 fat exchange
