1/2 | c | Sugar |

1 | tb | Vanilla extract |
2 | tb | Kirsch OR orange-flavored liqueur |
3/4 | c | Coarsely chopped dried cherries |

Combine half-and-half, Egg Beaters, sugar, salt, vanilla, kirsch and 1/4
cup of the dried cherries in a blender or food processor. Process until
sugar is dissolved and mixture is smooth. Cover and chill in the
refrigerator until ready to freeze. Pour into the ice cream maker and
follow the manufacturer;s instructions for freezing. About a minute before
ice cream is frozen, add remaining 1/2 cup cherries to mixture and freeze
for another minute.
