2 | c | Flour |
2 | ts | Baking powder |
1 | ts | Salt |
1/3 | c | Cocoa |
1 | c | Sugar |
1/3 | c | Water |
1/4 | c | Butter or margarine |
1/2 | ts | Baking soda |
1 | c | Sour milk |
1 | ts | Vanilla |
Mix the cocoa and water. Stir and cook until a thick smooth paste is formed. Add butter and stir until melted. Set aside until cool, then add soda and mix well. Add sugar and sour milk. Mix and sift dry ingredients, add to batter, then add vanilla, beat well. Bake at 375 F. for about 40 minutes.
