1 | pn | Salt |
6 | oz | Sugar |
3 | oz | Flour, corn |
2 | ts | Flour, plain level tspns. |
1 | ts | Baking powder, level tspns. |
Sift cornflour, plain flour and baking powder twice. Beat egg whites and salt till stiff. Gradually add sugar, beating till the mixture is thick and the sugar is dissolved.
Beat in the egg yolks. Sift in the cornflour, plain flour and baking powder and fold lightly to combine thoroughly with other ingredients.
Place in two greased and floured sandwich tine [8"] and bake.
