Yield: 3 Cups

3cChopped dried Calamyrna figs
1/4cHoney
1cRed wine
1cWater
1/4tsCinnamon
1/2tsFinely ground pepper

1. Combine all ingredients and cook over low heat, stirring often, until reduced to a thick paste, about 10 to 15 minutes.

2. Spread filling on a baking sheet to cool.

Use in Fig Bars.
