Title: Flavored Honey's

16 | oz | Honey (1 1/2 cups apx.) |
One of the following | ||
1 | tb | Grated grapefruit, lime, |
Lemon or organge peel *OR* | ||
1/4 | c | Chopped fresh mint *OR* |
1 | tb | Peeled ginmger root in match |
Stick pieces *OR* | ||
1 | tb | Whole Allspice *OR* |
1 1/2 | ts | Dried crushed red pepper |
: In medium sized sauce-pan. mix honey and chosen ingredient. Heat mixture over low heat 10 minutes. For citrus, mint or ginger honey, let stand at least 2 hours. For Allspice honey, let stand overnight. For Hot pepper honey let stand 1 to 2 hours. : Strain and pour honey into 8-ounce jar. Cover with lid.
