2 | tb | Cornstarch or farola |
2 | tb | Raisins |
1/8 | c | Caster sugar |
3 | tb | Shredded suet |
1 | tb | Mixed peel |
1/2 | tb | Mixed spice |
1/2 | ts | Bicarbonate of soda |

1/2 | c | Currants |
A dish from the North West Highlands of Scotland. A land of mountains and lochs. A land of legends steeped in history.
Mix all the ingredients together, adding enough milk, gradually, to make a soft mixture. Steam steadily for 2 hours and serve with custard or hot chocolate sauce.
