1tbButter
1 Egg
1/2cSugar
1/2cTreacle
1/2cMilk
2tsGinger
1tsCinnamon
1tsBicarbonate of soda
2tbWater, boiling

Beat butter, treacle and sugar together, add egg and beat again. Sift flour with ginger and cinnamon. Dissolve soda in hot water. Add dry ingredients alternately with liquids and blend well.
