Title: Glazed Fresh Strawberry Pie [America]

| AMERICAN MEASUREMENTS | ||
| 5 | c | Strawberries, to 6c |
| 1 | c | Sugar |
| 3 1/2 | tb | Cornstarch |
| 1/2 | c | Water |
| 1 | 9" baked pastry shell | |
| Whipped cream | ||
Mash 2 cups berries. Mix sugar and cornstarch in saucepan. Add water and mashed berries. Cook over medium heat, stirring until mixture comes to boil. Boil 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Cool. Fold remaining berries into cooled mixture. Pile into pastry shell. Chill. Serve with whipped cream.
