Title: Green Mint Chutney (Podina Chatni)

Yield: 4 Servings
2 | oz | Fresh mint leaves |
1 | Spring onion; chopped | |
2 | ts | Fresh pomeganate seeds; whole |
1 | Green chilli; chopped | |
pn | White cumin seeds | |
Sea salt; to taste | ||
4 | tb | Lemon juice |
This aromatic concoction should please everyone, both by its soothing looks and pungency in taste. Make fresh each time.
1. Place the first four ingredients on a sil-batta (or in an : electric grinder or mortar and pestle) and grind coarsely.
2. Add the cummin and salt and grind a little more.
3. Remove the mixture and place in a bowl. Use some lemon juice : to clean out the mixture from the grooves of the sil.
4. Add the rest of the lemon juice and blend.
5. Serve chilled.
