Title: Pickled Muskmelon
Categories: Pickle
Yield: 4 Servings
Text |
Take any kind of good ripe melon, peel and slice, not too thin. Boil together five or ten minutes 1 quart of vinegar and 1 quart of sugar. Drop in the sliced muskmelon and boil until tender. Last of all, drop in whole cloves and cinnamon bark. Let all boil a few minutes longer, then put in jars and seal, and you have as nice a pickle as peaches. (Conway Springs, Kans.)
