Title: Great American Brownie Cherry Pie

Yield: 1 Pie (9")
1/3 | c | Cherries, marashino; chopped well drained |
1/2 | c | Butter (or marg.); softened |
3/4 | c | Sugar |
2 | Eggs | |
2 | tb | Syrup, light corn |
2 | ts | Almond extract |
2/3 | c | Flour |
1/3 | c | Cocoa |
1/4 | ts | Baking powder |
1/3 | c | Almonds, slivered; coarsely chopped |
1 | c | Hershey Premier White Chips |
Whipped topping; thawed | ||
Cherries, maraschino w/stems well drained |
Heat oven to 325 F. Grease and flour 9" round glass pie plate. Blot cherries between layers of paper towels; set aside. In small bowl, beat butter, sugar, eggs, corn syrup and almond extract until blended. Add flour, cocoa and baking powder; beat until combined. Stir in reserved chopped cherries, almonds and chips.
Pour into prepared pan. Bkae 30 to 35 minutes or until set. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cover; refrigerate until serving time.
Garnish with whipped topping and cherries. Cover; refrigerate leftover pie.
