Title: Harvest Apple Pie

1/2cBUTTER
1/3cSUGAR
1/4tsVANILLA
1cFLOUR, ALL PURPOSE
1lgPKG. CREAM CHEESE, SOFTENED
1/4cSUGAR
1lgEGG
1/3cSUGAR
1tsGROUND CINNAMON
4cPEELED, SLICED APPLES
1/4cSLICED ALMONDS

Combine first 3 ingredients (butter, sugar, and vanilla); blend in flour. spread dough on bottom and sides of a pie pan. Beat cream cheese and second measure of sugar until well blended. Add egg and mix well. Spread evenly on pie pan. Combine 3rd measure of sugar, cinnamon and apples; mix well. Place apples in pinwheel pattern over cream cheese layer. Sprinkle with almonds. Bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes. Reduce temp to 375 degrees and continue to bake 25 minutes.
