Title: Hot Apple Flapjacks

Yield: 4 Servings
1 1/2 | c | All purpose flour; sifted |
2 | ts | Baking powder |
1 | tb | Brown sugar |
1 | ts | Salt |
1 | Apple; diced | |
1 | Egg | |
1 1/4 | c | 2% milk |
2 | tb | Butter; melted |
1 | tb | Butter or vegetable oil |
You can use any kind of fruit that you want in these flapjacks.
In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, brown sugar, salt and diced apple.
Beat the egg in another bowl for 1 minute.
Add milk and melted butter to egg and stir.
Dump the flour mixture into the bowl with the milk and egg. Stir only until four is wet.
Heat some butter or oil in a skillet, or frying pan, over medium-high heat.
Spoon some batter into the pan. When you see holes forming on the top, turn the flapjacks over with a spatula. They should be nicely browned on the bottom.
After flipping the flapjacks, cook them for about 2 more minutes.
Keep cooking flapjacks until you have used all the batter, adding a little more butter or oil each time so they don't stick.
Note: Add 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil to this batter recipe to make great waffles. Serve them with ice cream and hot syrup.
