Take 1 cup of white sugar, 1 egg, 1/2 cup of sweet milk, 2 tablespoonfuls of melted butter, 2 cups of flour, and 1 teaspoonful of baking powder. Mix and add the huckleberries or strawberries. Bake in a moderate oven and serve hot with sweet milk. (Abbottstown, Pa.)
