Title: Kentucky High Day Pie

1 c | sugar | |
1 | /2 c | butter -- melted |
1 t | vanilla | |
1 | /4 c | cornstarch |
1 c | pecans -- finely chopped | |
1 c | semisweet chocolate chips | |
1 | 9" | |
: | pie shell -- unbaked |
Beat eggs slightly; gradually add sugar. Add melted butter and vanilla;
mix well. Blend in cornstarch. Stir in pecans and chocolate chips. Pour
into pie shell and bake for 40-50 minutes at 350 until puffed on top,
light brown, and set in the center. Serve warm with dollop of whipped
