Take 1 cup of white sugar, 1/2 cup of butter, whites of three eggs, 1/2 cup of sweet milk, 2 cups of flour, 2 teaspoonfuls of baking powder and 1 teaspoonful of vanilla. Frosting: Beat the yellow of the eggs with at least 15 teaspoonfuls of pulverized sugar. Ice while cake is hot. (Philidelphia, Pa.)
