Beat all the ingredients together to form a smooth paste. You can do this by hand or use a food processor.
Divide the mixture into two and wrap it in cling wrap and store it in a cool place if you are not using it straight away.
NOTE: This recipe makes enough marzipan to cover the top and sides of an 18cm/7inch cake.
