1 1/2 | c | Rhubarb, washed and cut into |

1 | c | Sugar |
1 | Egg | |
2 | tb | Flour |
BATTER | ||
1 | c | Flour |
1/2 | c | Milk |
pn | Salt | |
2 | tb | Butter |
1 | ts | (heaping) baking powder |
Mix together sugar, egg and flour. Add to rhubarb and put in a baking dish.
Then make a batter of the flour, milk, salt, butter and baking powder. Put this on top of the rhubarb mixture and bake until done.
Serve with cream, either plain or whipped. This dish can be made with apples too if you don't have any rhubarb.
