Title: Smokey's Sourdough Chocolate Chip Cookies

1/4	c	Butter
1/4	c	Shortening
1/2	c	Brown sugar
1/2	c	White sugar
1		Egg
1	c	Sourdough starter
1	ts	Vanilla
3	c	Flour
1/4	ts	Baking powder
1/2	ts	Baking soda
1/2	ts	Salt
		Chocolate chips

Combine sugar, shortening, add eggs, sourdough, vanilla. In another bowl mix flour, baking powder, soda, add chocolate chips. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Mix well, let rest 15 minutes. Shape into walnut-sized balls. Flatten. Place on greased cookie sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes. Cool slightly before taking off cookie sheet. Makes 4 dozen.
