Title: Spiced Stained Glass Cookies

3 3/4 | c | Flour |
1 | ts | Baking powder |
1 | ts | Ground cinnamon |
1 | ts | Groung ginger |
1 1/2 | c | Sm. spice flavored gumdrops snipped |
1 | c | Butter; or margarine, room temp |
1 | c | Sugar |
1 | lg | Egg |
1/2 | c | Heavy cream |
Mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, and gumdrops. In a lg. bowl, beat butter and sugar with electric mixer until fluffy. Beat in egg. Add flour mixture alternately with cream, blending well after each addition. Divide dough in half. Shape each half into a roll 2" in diameter. Wrap in waxed paper; chill overnight. Heat oven to 350~. Grease cookie sheets. Cut rulls in 1/4" slices with a sharp knife dipped in hot water. Place 1/2" apart on prepared cookie sheets. Bake 12 mins. or until golden. Remove to rack to cool.
