Title: Super Duper Doughnuts From Quick Mix

Cooking oil for frying | ||
2 | c | Quick Mix |
1/4 | c | Sugar |
1/4 | ts | Cinnamon |
1/4 | ts | Nutmeg |
1 | ts | Vanilla |
1 | Egg, well beaten | |
1/3 | c | Milk or water |
VANILLA GLAZE | ||
1 1/4 | c | Powdered sugar |
2 | ts | Milk |
1/2 | ts | Vanilla |
In a deep-fryer, heat oil to 375.
In a medium bowl, combine quick mix, sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Blend well.
In a small bowl, mix together vanilla, egg and milk or water.
Add all at once to dry ingredients. Stir until well-blended.
On a lightly floured surface, knead dough about 10 minutes. Roll out to 1/2" thickness and cut with a floured doughnut cutter.
Fry in hot oil about 1 minute on each side, until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
While doughnuts cool slightly, prepare vanilla glaze. Dip warm doughnuts in glaze. Makes about 12 doughnuts.
