2 | cn | Pitted cherries in syrup (16 |

1 | 28 oz can fruit cocktail, | |
Sliced peaches, etc | ||
2 | tb | Melted butter |
1 1/2 | c | All purpose flour |
2 | c | Packed brown sugar, divided |
1 | ts | Baking soda |
1/2 | ts | Baking powder |
1/2 | ts | Salt |
1 | Egg | |
1/2 | c | Chopped walnuts |
1 1/2 | c | Boiling water |
Pour cherries into 9x13 inch pan; add butter. Add in flour, 1/2 cu brown sugar, soda, baking powder and salt. Add egg beat with fork until will blended, about 2 minutes. Spread batter evenly in pan. Sprinkle with 1 1/2 cups browned sugar and walnuts; pour boiling water over entire mixture. Bake in 350 oven for 40 minutes. Serve arm with cream, whipped cream or ice cream.
