1/2 | c | Crisco oil |
4 | Eggs | |
2 | ts | Vanilla |
2 | c | Sifted flour |
2 | c | Sugar |
2 | ts | Baking powder |
1/2 | ts | Salt |
1 | c | Chopped pecans |

Unsweetened chocolate |
Melt chocolate with oil in saucepan. Let cool and pour into mixing bowl. Add sugar and eggs and mix well. Add vanilla, measure and sift dry ingredients together and gradually add small amounts to above, mixing well each time. Stir in nuts, cover and place in refrigerator overnight.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Shape dough into small balls (size of a quarter). Roll in powdered sugar and place on greased cookie sheet, allowing room for expansion. Bake 8 minutes at 375 degrees. Cool. Makes 5 dozen.
