Title: Banana Tart

9 1/2 | oz | Butter |
4 1/2 | oz | Sugar |
2 | Egg yolks | |
4 | ts | Vanilla |
1/3 | ts | Salt |
12 | oz | Flour |
1/2 | c | Chopped pecans |
1 1/2 | c | Pecan halves |
Honey | ||
Confectioners sugar | ||
2 | Bananas, thinly sliced | |
Vanilla ice cream |
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl beat butter and sugar until well creamed. Add egg yolks and vanilla, mix until combined. Slowly add salt, flour and chopped pecans. Mixture should begin forming into dough. Chill. On baking pan, in oven, toast pecan halves for about 7 minutes. Remove from oven and drizzle with honey. Coat with sugar. Set aside. Remove dough from refrigerator and roll into 3/8" thickness. Cut into 4" disks. Bake until light brown, about 12 to 15 minutes. On plate place cookies in a circle. Arrange bananas around cookies. Dust bananas with sugar and caramelize with a propane torch. Place honey sugar pecans in center and top with vanilla ice cream.
