1 1/2 | c | Coarse cracker crumbs |
8 | tb | Melted butter |
1 | pt | Oysters |
1/2 | ts | Salt |
1/8 | ts | Pepper |
1/4 | c | Oyster liquid |
2 | tb | Milk |
Combine crumbs & butter. Put thin layer of crumbs in the bottom of a 1-1/2 quart baking dish. Alternate layers of oysters & crumb mixture, sprinkling each layer with seasonings. Never use more than 2 layers of oysters. Pour oyster liquid & milk over the last layer & top with crumbs. Bake in a very hot oven (450) for 30 minutes. Serves 4.
