Title: Woodland Potpourri
Categories: Potpourri *
Yield: 1 Batch
8 | oz | Balsam fir needles |
4 | oz | Pine needles |
3 | oz | Maple sugar |
2 | oz | Cedarwood chips -OR- |
1 | dr | Cedarwood oil |
3 | oz | Sandalwood chips -OR- |
1 | dr | Sandalwood oil |
1 | oz | Sweet woodruff |
Maple sugar: Mix 1 cup white granulated sugar with 3 tb real maple syrup. Stir the mix until it is uniform in color. If it is still moist, let it dry off in an oven for a minute or two. Do not bake it, however. If you added too much syrup, simply add more white sugar to get to the right consistency.
If you do not include sandalwood chips (or oil) in this recipe, then add 1 oz of powdered benzoin gum, or powdered balsam Peru.
