38	oz	Vegetable shortening
ALKALINE SOLUTION
12	oz	Sodium hydroxide
32	oz	Water
ESSENTIAL OR FRAGRANCE OIL
4	oz	Calendula and olive oil mix

To make the calendula and oilve oil mix, steep 2 cups of semi-dried calendula flowers in a sealed 2-cup jar of olive oil for 3 weeks, strain the oil, and use it as a superfatting agent in the soap.
