Title: Cinnamon Soap 1

Yield: 1 1/2 lb
1 1/2 | c | Clean rendered tallow |
1/2 | c | Vegetable oil |
3/4 | c | Cold soft water |
1/4 | c | Lye |
1 | tb | Powdered cinnamon |
Measure 1 tb of the vegetable oil and add to the cinnamon, mixing thoroughly.
Melt tallow and remaining vegetable oil. Cool in a large bowl. Add lye to cold water, stirring until dissolved. Set aside to cool.
When fat and lye are lukewarm, pour the lye solution into the fat, stirring constantly. Continue to stir until the mixture has saponified.
When the soap is thick, just before pouring into molds, add the cinnamon-oil mixture, beating until thoroughly combined. Pour into molds.
