Title: Health Nut Lotion
Categories: Lotion
Yield: 4 Ounces
1/4 | ts | Borax powder |
1/4 | c | Distilled water |
1 | tb | Wheat germ oil |
1 | tb | Castor oil |
1 | tb | Almond oil |
1 | ts | Vitamin E oil |
2 | tb | Grated beeswax |
Dissolve the borax in the water in a glass measuring cup and set aside.
Mix together the oils and beeswax in another glass measuring cup. Place the oils-wax mixture in a glass cup in a pan of water (about 1" to 2" of water), making a water bath. Heat the oil mixture in the water bath over medium heat until the beeswax is melted, about 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
When the wax is melted, bring the borax-water mixture almost to boiling (put the glass cup with the mixture in the microwave on High for 1 minute, or heat it in a water bath on the stove top).
Remove the oil mixture from the water bath. Slowly add the borax-water mixture to the oil mixture, stirring briskly. You can also put the complete mixture in the blender and whip.
Pour the lotion into a clean container with a lid, and cool completely. Use by massaging into your skin.
