Title: Allover Nighttime Lotion
Categories: Lotion
Yield: 6 Ounces
1/4 | ts | Baking soda |
1/2 | c | Distilled water |
1 | tb | Vitamin E oil |
2 | tb | Olive oil |
1 | tb | Avocado oil |
1/2 | ts | Wheat germ oil |
1 | ts | Liquid lecithin |
1 | tb | Grated beeswax |
Dissolve the baking soda in the water in a glass measuring cup and set aside.
Mix together the oils, lecithin and beeswax in another glass measuring cup. Place the oil mixture in a glass cup in a pan of water (about 1" to 2" of water), making a water bath. Heat the oil mixture in the water batch over medium heat until the beeswax is melted, about 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
When the wax is melted, bring the soda-water mixture almost to boiling by putting the glass cup with the mixture in the microwave on High for 1 minute. You may also use a water bath on the stove top.
Remove the oil mixture from the water batch. Slowly add the oil mixture to the water solution, stirring briskly. You can also put the mixtures in the blender and whip.
Pour the lotion into a clean container with a lid. The lotion will thicken as it cools.
Cool completely, then use this lotion all over your body.
