1/4 | c | Watermelon, removed from the rind |
Fresh watermelon makes a great toning facial mask. It contains a high amount of vitamins A, B and C, all of which keep skin healthy and glowing. The consistency of this mask is thinner than most, and you may want to use a damp piece of cheesecloth or gauze over the mask to keep it on your face.
Mash the fruit in a ceramic bowl, using a spoon or fork, until smooth (it should have the consistency of thin applesauce). Spread the mixture on your face (make sure your skin is clean). Lie down and leave the mixture on your face for 20 minutes. If it seems to want to slide off, place a wet piece of cheesecloth or gauze over the watermelon to keep it in place. Rinse well with cool water and pat dry.
