1/4 | c | Dried or 1 c fresh strawberry leaves |
1 | c | Boiling water |
2 | ts | Fresh lemon juice |
Eating fresh strawberries with whiten and clean your teeth by removing plaque. This is due to the berries' high content of salicylic acid. The leaves make an effective mouthwash because they also have antiseptic properties. This recipe is perfect for those who do not wish to use alcohol but want a clean mouth.
Place the strawberry leaves in a ceramic bowl and pour the boiling water over them. Let sit until completely cool. Strain off the liquid and discard the leaves. Add the lemon juice and stir well. Store this mouthwash in the refrigerator. To use, pour about 4 ts into a glass and rinse your mouth for 30 seconds.
