1/2 | c | Butter |
1 | c | Sugar |
1 | Egg -- well beaten | |
1 1/2 | c | Sifted flour |
1 | ts | Salt |
1 | ts | Baking soda |
1 | ts | Cinnamon |
1 | c | Walnuts -- chopped |
1 | c | Raisins |
1/4 | ts | Cloves |
1/2 | ts | Allspice |
1/4 | ts | Nutmeg |
1/2 | c | Cold coffee or 1 tbsp. |
Instant coffee & 1/ | ||
1 | c | Apple -- coarsely chopped |
Cream butter and sugar; add egg. Sift dry ingredients. Add alternately with liquid. Stir in apples, nuts and raisins. Turn in well greased and floured 11 x 7 1/2 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees about 35 minutes. Cool thoroughly in pan. Keeps well and improves.
