Title: Apple Nut Cake

1 | c | Sugar |
2 | c | Peeled & diced apples |
1 | Egg -- well beaten | |
1 | c | Flour |
1 | ts | Soda |
1 | ts | Cinnamon |
1 | ts | Vanilla |
1 | c | Chopped pecans or walnuts |
Mix sugar and apples. Add egg when sugar is dissolved. Sift flour, soda and cinnamon together. Add to apple mixture. Add vanilla and nuts. Pour into greased and floured 8 inch cake pan. Bake at 375 degrees for 40 minutes.
ÕþBHOT BUTTER SAUCE:þb Õ Pour over hot cake.
Õ1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. light brown sugar 2 tbsp. flour 1 c. water 1/2 c. butter 1 tsp. vanilla Õ Combine first 4 ingredients. Bring to a boil until clear. Add butter and vanilla, stir until butter is melted. Delicious but rich!
